The Grid Box is a functional fitness challenge with a set of workouts alternating with transition runs. The set-up is designed to push your personal fitness levels no matter what stage you are at – be it beginner, athlete or pro.
The test is based on your own strength, using exercises that mostly involve your strenght and body weight. Workouts include burpees, push ups, box jumps, lunges and short runs. Set your goal and take your training to another level by finding out how fit you are whilst enjoying a fun event with family, friends and other competitors alike!

The Grid Box is a NOT TO BE MISSED functional fitness test event. And you don’t have to do it alone. Registrations are open for singles, doubles and relay teams.
The challenge is spread over 2 zones that are deisgned and open to all fitness levels. Compete at your own pace and challenge yourself.

The fitness challenge kicks off on the race track where you will run for 400m to enter the first area. Once you’re in the zone, perform all the workouts back-to-back for the set number of reps. The area has a total of 4 rounds, with 400m runs in between. After round 4 you will run to enter Area 2 which consists of shuttle workout rounds, thrusters and ball toss.

This event has multiple categories open for registration and each category is split into multiple age groups.

Yes, all athletes are given a timing chip. Elite athletes need to have all timing chips tightly secured within their shoelaces and placed no higher. Chips placed any higher may not register and participant will be left without a race time.

Yes, this can be done upon payment of the respective transfer fee.
Transfer to another Grid event – €5.00
Transfer to another person – €2.50
Transfer to another wave – €2.50
To transfer entry onto another participant or event please follow link under your confirmation QR code and follow the respective instructions. The system will request a new payment from the participant. Once this payment is done, the original payment source will be refunded.

The runs are 400m. Total durations is dependent on the participant’s fitness level but normally ranges from 20 to 45 minutes.
Grid Races are tough but achievable at any level, you may take on any race and challenge yourself at your own pace.
The Grid Box does not have any obstacles. Athlete only use body weight, toss balls, kettle bells, foam rollers and weight bags.
ATHLETE AND PARTICIPANTS NEED TO PARTICIPATE FAIRLY WITHOUT OBSTRUCTING OR INJURING OTHERS.
You can take part in The Grid Box functional fitness challenge as an individual or with friends who would like some active fun!
Refunds are not available. However, if you email us before the event and advise that you have an injury and providing a doctor’s medical certificate, we can move you onto another event of ours without any additional fees.
Yes, you can either register for Doubles with another participant or as a Relay together with 3 other team members.
Photographers will be present on the day. While unlike many races we provide photos free of charge we cannot guarantee that every participant will be featured in any of the photos.
